A seed tape of a fast-growing scallion that is crisp and mild. This reliable producer is a popular choice due to its adaptability to a variety of conditions. It grows vigorously in a range of soils, and it is both heat and cold tolerant, so it can be sowed from spring to fall. Great for succession planting.

How to grow
Timing: Sow from late spring until mid-summer.
Seeding: Make shallow rows in prepared soil. Unfold seed tape and separate it into two strips. Place seed tape in the rows and water well. Lightly cover with about 5mm (0.25") of soil and water thoroughly. Seep consistent moisture until seeds sprout in 12-14 days.
Growing: Fertile and well-drained soil is best for scallions. Add well-rotted manure or compost and dig 1/2-1 cup complete organic fertlizer into each 3m (10') row. Keep high moisture level in the top 20-30cm (8-12") of soil. Bulbing types will form bulbs just at the surface of the soil. Non-bulbing types can be grown in shallow trenches, with soil added as plants mature to increase the blanced (white) area at the base of the stem.
