Chantenay Red is one of the most popular storage varieties. Orange-scarlet roots are smooth and even shaped, and grow to 15cm (6") long and 2.5cm (1") thick.
Takes 72 days to harvest.
Imperator are nicely formed large 18-20cm (7'8" riits that are uniform and suitable for bunching. Their flavous is crisp and their colour is deep orange.
Takes 74 days to harvest.
Nantes Coreless are of the geritage variety. The cylindrical bright orange roots grow 15 cm (6") long with a distinctive blunt end. They are a great tasting popular cariety and excellent for slicing.

Sowing: Sow carrots in well prepared light soil after the soil temperature rises above 7.5 degrees C (45F) . Keep the seedbed evenly moist avoiding crusting over while the seeds are sprouting. Do not use a high nitrogen fertilizer. Sow seeds 5mm (1/4") deep and 5mm (1/4") apart.
