Bottle Gentian - Gentiana andrewsii Seed Pack

Bottle Gentian (Gentiana andrewsii) features striking mauve-blue flowers that emerge as the garden begins to transition into its dormant phase. It is advisable to position this plant towards the front of your garden border to prevent it from being overshadowed by earlier flowering species. While it naturally thrives in moist environments, it can also adapt well to the average moisture levels found in typical gardens. This plant is particularly favored by bumble bees.

Growing Instructions 

Cold, moist stratification required. Mix seeds with moist substrate (vermiculite, perlite or moss) and place in a plastic bag and refrigerate for 6-8 weeks. Sow seed at soil surface. Do not let seedling dry out while it is establishing.

Sow directly outdoors in late fall to overwinter.
