Pencil Pod Black Wax is a vigorous stocky bush been that is a prolific producer of fleshy yellow pods 12-15 cm (5-6") long. These pods are long, tender and generally stringless. These beans are good for home and market. it is a black seed with a white eye.

Sowing: Tendergreen Improved- Beans grow best in sunny areas with light organic soils after all danger of frost is past. Row planting is ideal for pickling. Stagger planting from late spring to mid-July to ensure a continuous harvest. Sow 2.5cm (1") deep and 8cm (3") apart.
Pencil Pod Black Wax- After all danger of frost is past in a sunny location with a loamy soil. Fertilize and water regularily. Sow again 2 weeks later for continued yeilds. Sow 4cm deep and 10cm apart.
